چکیده

Background: Obesity in children has the potential to increase risk of morbidity and even death future. One diseases that are at due obesity is hypertension also impaired kidney function. Glomerular filtration rate differences obese normal-weight somehow contradictory. This study aims prove difference blood pressure function adolescents with non-obese.Methods: A cross-sectional was conducted among high school Denpasar. Subjects were classified as non-obese. The Mann-Whitney test used assess mean pressure, whereas Independent t-test determine GFR. Multivariate analysis performed logistic regression ANCOVA. Data analyzed using SPSS version 20 for Windows. Results: total 68 subjects 52 non-obese included this study. Systolic diastolic group higher than a group, systolic 29 mmHg (P<0.001) 18 (P=0.002), respectively. increases 9.78 times (95% CI: 1.86-51.39; P=0.007), have an average GFR 11.51 lower 17.32 – (-5.69); P<0.001).Conclusion: Hypertension non-obese, while glomerular adolescents.

Blood Cadmium and Estimated Glomerular Filtration Rate in Korean Adults

BACKGROUND Cadmium is a nephrotoxicant at high exposure levels. Few studies have evaluated the role of cadmium in kidney function at low-exposure levels. OBJECTIVE We evaluated the association of blood cadmium with estimated glomerular filtration rate (eGFR) in the Korean adult population. METHODS We evaluated 1,909 adults ≥ 20 years of age who participated in the 2005 Korean National Healt...

Estimated glomerular filtration rate.

The recent article about estimated glomerular filtration rate (GFR) by Levey and colleagues (1) is remarkable. The authors suggest that the new equation may still have some bias and especially may have less precision in patients with GFRs greater than 60 mL/min per 1.73 m 2 . This is even more important if the GFR is greater than 90 mL/min per 1.73 m 2 . In the paper's Methods section, Levey an...

Role of glomerular filtration rate in controlling blood pressure early in diabetes.

Perhaps the most obvious, and least contentious, examples of hypertension caused by the kidneys are renal artery stenosis and diabetic nephropathy, because there are readily identifiable, physical limitations in the ability of the kidneys to excrete sodium in each case. The former is characterized by a global restriction in renal perfusion, and the latter is characterized more specifically by g...

Variation in Genes that Regulate Blood Pressure Are Associated with Glomerular Filtration Rate in Chinese

Chronic kidney disease (CKD) can be a consequence of diabetes, hypertension, immunologic disorders, and other exposures, as well as genetic factors that are still largely unknown. Glomerular filtration rate (GFR), which is widely used to measure kidney function, has a heritability ranging from 25% to 75%, but only 1.5% of this heritability is explained by genetic loci that have been identified ...
